We Are One 
Thank you for joining us as we discuss topics from the OneNKY StandPoint — the OneNKY Alliance blog where community and business leaders engage on the issues that matter most in Northern Kentucky today and into the future. Here, we look beyond individual interests and commit to building a stronger, more competitive community for all.

To frame our conversation, it is important to understand the shared vision uniting sectors, jurisdictions, and perspectives across the OneNKY Partnership:

OneNKY StandPoint reflects a hyper-local, action-oriented perspective—grounded in data, informed by experience, and focused on outcomes that matter to those investing time, talent, and capital in Northern Kentucky.

Last month, we discussed the OneNKY Partnership’s adoption of its 2026–2030 Unified Strategic Plan, which aligns the leadership of growth organizations, partners, and regional stakeholders around three essential principles: Vision, Execution, and Measurement. This multi-year plan represents a commitment to disciplined action and shared accountability.

Executing the strategic plan begins with embracing its foundational principle: We Are One.

Northern Kentucky is made up of many communities, organizations, industries, and leaders. But together, we can most effectively pursue efficiency, support businesses, and create a signature quality of life for everyone in the region.

That may sound ambitious, but it is already happening through the collaboration of committed individuals and organizations across NKY. Leaders continue to convene regularly to ensure the plan remains responsive to today’s needs while positioning us for tomorrow’s opportunities.

This plan is not aspirational rhetoric. It includes concrete initiatives designed to move OneNKY toward the unified region envisioned in the strategy. One such initiative is the creation of the OneNKY Center.

Located near the banks of the Ohio River at the base of the Suspension Bridge, the OneNKY Center has quickly become a hub for collaboration, innovation, and regional leadership.

If you have not visited yet, we encourage you to stop by. The enthusiasm and energy surrounding the future of Northern Kentucky are palpable. The work taking place within this space is meaningful, collaborative, and laser-focused on shared regional goals.

One example is the Catalytic Fund, a privately funded, nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The organization plays a critical role in advancing catalytic development projects across Northern Kentucky and has recently undertaken the funding of the NKY Housing Fund in concert with community partners.

Within the framework of this strategic plan, “We Are One” means more than bold collaboration. It means tangible outcomes related to

• A model of efficiency for governmental, social & human services and educational entities.
• A comprehensive regional capital strategy supporting the needs of our growth industries and assets, benefitting our greatest asset – our people.
• The development and implementation of a community brand and how we are known.

In future editions of OneNKY StandPoint, we will explore additional pillars of the Strategic
Plan. Beyond “We Are One,” these include:
