As the region’s second largest metropolitan area with a 400,000 population across three counties and 37 cities, the OneNKY Community drives powerful investment throughout the Commonwealth and within the Cincinnati region.
Organization Alignment Under One Roof
The OneNKY Center in Covington, KY aligns regional growth organizations under one roof, all working towards a meaningful future for the OneNKY Community through strategic alignment. Multiple growth organizations will deliver comprehensive economic development, business support, innovation, tourism, and place enhancement services to businesses, local government, and the community.
Identified through multiple visioning processes, the OneNKY Alliance partnered with the Catalytic Fund to incubate and launch this concept to position NKY as an economic driver through brand identity and voice, offering resources for a stronger, more effective impact.
Completion is expected in the summer of 2025, with the Northern Kentucky Port Authority serving as the owner of the OneNKY Center. The Kenton County Fiscal Court provided credit enhancement for up to $10M in construction bonds. The Commonwealth of KY provided $15M in support of the LifeSciKY project. Multiple growth organizations including OneNKY, Catalytic Fund,BE NKY, NKY Chamber of Commerce, Horizon Community Funds, meetNKY, EducateNKY, NKY Bar Association, Thomas More University; and LifeSciKY will use the resource collaboratively.
